Privacy policy

For privacy questions or requests, email support@cadent.day.
Your data. Cadent stores the things you enter, such as routines, todos, people, notes, check-ins, and rewards, on your device. You can use Cadent without an account. When you use cloud sync, your content is also stored on our servers, hosted by Cloudflare, so it can sync between devices.
Accounts and sharing. If you sign in, we store your email address, account identifier, profile information provided by you or your sign-in provider, and session information. Apple or Google processes your sign-in if you choose that option. Household members can see your chosen nickname, email address, and the content and activity shared with that household.
Subscriptions and notifications. Your app store handles payments. RevenueCat processes your account identifier, purchase history, and subscription status to manage subscription access and provide subscription reporting. We do not receive your payment card details. Cloudflare and MXroute process recipients’ email addresses and message contents to deliver sign-in codes and service emails. If you enable push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging and your device’s push service process device identifiers, push tokens, and notification messages. Household notifications may include a member’s chosen nickname and activity summary. You can control optional emails and push notifications in Cadent’s settings and notification permissions in your device settings.
Diagnostics and support. Cadent automatically sends crash reports and diagnostic logs to Google Firebase Crashlytics, including when you use the app without an account. Reports include technical information about the app and device, installation identifiers, and your account identifier when signed in. Our servers also process connection information, such as IP addresses, and operational logs to run and protect the service. We collect counts of service events to understand reliability and usage; these counts do not include your content or account identifiers. If you contact support or send copied diagnostics, we use what you provide to help resolve your request.
We use this information to provide, secure, support, and improve Cadent. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information is processed by the service providers described above and may be disclosed when required by law.
Security. Cadent uses your device’s platform secure storage to store sign-in session tokens.
Children’s privacy. Cadent is intended for adults and is not directed at children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Cadent, please contact support@cadent.day so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Keeping and deleting data. We retain account and synced content while your account exists, subject to routine cleanup. We may remove deleted records, older activity, and archived history when they are no longer needed to provide the service. Firebase’s retention policy starts removal of crash reports and associated identifiers after 90 days.
Choose Delete account on the Account screen to remove your account and personal synced copy. Content shared with a household remains available to its remaining members. Data on your device also remains; use Settings → Delete all data to erase that device’s copy. Deleting device data alone does not delete your account or synced copy. Account deletion does not cancel an app-store subscription or automatically erase records held by billing and diagnostic providers. Provider logs, backups, and billing records may remain under their retention policies.

Your rights. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise your rights, email support@cadent.day. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
We will update this policy as our practices change and revise the date above.
